About Dependable Concrete

Dependable Concrete has poured, built and fixed concrete and masonry across Philadelphia since 1984. We've done it one set of steps, one walkway and one driveway at a time.

Dependable Concrete is family-owned, and owner Vince Douglass Sr leads the crew. Vince started the business in 1984 because he wanted to be independent and he wanted to give the community good service. When you call, you're working with Vince and a crew that knows these streets.

Rooted in Chestnut Hill

Our home base is 7715 Crittenden St in Chestnut Hill. We work across Philadelphia, especially in Chestnut Hill, Mt. Airy, Germantown and Roxborough. Many homes here are older rowhomes, twins and stone houses. We fix their steps and basements, and help their curb appeal match the character of the neighborhood.

What We Do

• Concrete steps, including classic bull-nosed (rounded-edge) steps. Share steps with a neighbor? We can split them so each side gets its own.
• Walkways, driveways, patios, backyards and curbs built for Philly weather and daily use
• Resurfacing that makes tired, flaking concrete look new again
• Basement walls, floors and waterproofing to keep water out and your basement dry
• Stucco
• Commercial snow removal for medical centers, senior centers, churches and businesses

How We Work

We will return your call. That's our promise. Too many homeowners wait days for a contractor who never calls back. We pick up the phone, we call you back, and we show up.

• Free estimates. You'll know what the job involves before you decide.
• A courteous, professional crew that treats your home and your neighbors with respect.
• Open 7 days a week, 7am-7pm. Call when it works for you, weekends included.
• Quality work that makes you proud to walk up your own steps.
